Video RTC enables to transfer any video call by simply dialing the extension of a queue or agent.


Video Call Transferring, or Video Call forwarding, is a process of relocating an inbound video call to another agent. Video Call Transfer is very useful for video agents and internally for contact center teams. Video agents use call transferring to instantly route incoming calls throughout the Contact Center or Organization. CC Teams use video call transferring to pass video callers along to a different video agent or extension or external number service, whether it’s a call with a customer, queue or a video call with another colleague.

Let’s describe the any process of video call transfer on Video RTC is powered both by SIP and WebRTC.

  1. Press Pause, to keep the video call connected.
  2. Dial to Extension, to speak with a colleague and check information.
  3. Press Transfer, to transfer the video call.
  4. End, the current extension is available for another call or video cal.

We have the following four scenarios:

Video Call Transferring Destination.

⤴️ Agent

You can forward the video call to another agent, just press transfer and add the extension of your colleague. This option enables a team management and supervisor video support.

⤴️ Queue

You can forward the call the existing queue or to another one, juste press transfer and add queue extension. You can transfer to the existing queue to reschedule the call distribution.

⤴️ PSTN number

You can forward a video call to a phone number (PSTN), just press transfer and key the number, it will become a phone call. Video RTC enable all audio transcoding required.

⤴️ External Call Center

You can forward a video call to another Call Center: if the destination platform is already connected to Video RTC. Please, read more about Video Transferring Interroperability.
